As an Engineering Manager, you’ll be responsible for overseeing product testing and analysis as well as supporting team members with advanced product knowledge. You'll thrive in this role if you love switching between the end-user's perspective and software details, have experience with modern development practices, and are familiar with CI/CD pipelines. In addition to these responsibilities, you'll also get the chance to coach and mentor junior engineers, helping to shape the future of our team.
What You’ll Do:
- Foster and develop a highly effective team of Engineers to perform test and analysis of embedded software
- Mentor and train your team by performing regular check-ins, discussing career growth opportunities, giving constructive feedback, and managing conflict when necessary
- Perform test planning, procedure development, and analysis activities for all aspects of the embedded software of Iridium transceivers
- Provide high-quality, cost-effective system integration, test, and support services
- Demonstrate advanced knowledge of product testing, including risk-based test planning
- Play a key role in activities to define the configurations of lab environments
- Work collaboratively with multi-sited global teams of software, hardware, and system development engineers
- Work cross functionally to instill a strong culture of product quality within the organization
- Support customers and team members to achieve project delivery milestones
- Provide analysis, make suggestions, and implement processes that reduce test cycle time and improve product quality
- Accountable for the development of documentation that clearly presents information for various stakeholders
