What We’re Looking For:

We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead product planning and execution for Iridium’s Project Authentic direct‑to‑device platform. In this role, you will manage hardware, software, and partner‑integration workstreams to ensure that customer needs, market opportunities, and engineering execution remain tightly aligned. You will translate business and technical requirements into actionable product plans, collaborate cross‑functionally to advance product milestones, and drive delivery of technology that serves both commercial and government markets. You will thrive in this role if you enjoy complex technical problem‑solving, cross‑functional coordination, and building products that shape next‑generation user experiences.

What You’ll Do:

  • Work independently to manage the advancement of Project Authentic across hardware, software, and integration workstreams, maintaining alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Develop roadmap inputs and product specifications that define features, functionality, and customer value across user equipment, APIs, cloud orchestration, and partner integrations.
  • Drive requirements definition through market disovery, collaboration with engineering, business development, and external partners to ensure clear, prioritized, and actionable direction.
  • Determine acceptance criteria, KPIs, and release milestones; manage program progress through sprint planning, dependency tracking, and interdisciplinary coordination.
  • Analyze complex technical and market factors to inform product decisions, translating constraints into trade‑off recommendations for leadership.
  • Play a key role in partner‑engineering engagement by supporting integration activities, API/SDK development, and technical alignment with hyperscalers and PAM vendors.
  • Manage cross‑functional readiness for commercialization, ensuring engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, and operations are aligned to program timelines.
  • Evaluate competitive intelligence and customer insights to inform pricing, packaging, and go‑to‑market decisions.
  • Create and maintain product documentation, value propositions, and collateral in support of marketing, sales, and partner‑facing materials.
  • Support business development activities through technical presentations, customer discussions, and coordination across government and commercial stakeholder groups.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field OR equivalent relevant experience.
10+ years of relevant experience in product management or related technical industries
  • Demonstrated experience in the cybersecurity industry
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and confidently and tailor messaging to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with senior leadership, partners, and cross‑functional teams.
  • Proven ability to analyze complex problems, generate effective solutions, and deliver results from concept through execution.
  • Strong judgment, creativity, and resourcefulness to advance product initiatives and resolve obstacles.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, manage shifting priorities, and handle multiple complex projects.
  • Proactive in sharing knowledge and contributing to continuous improvement across teams.
  • Ability to work independently and to focus on achieving results

Things That Would be Great if You Brought to the Table:

  • Experience in telecommunications, satellite systems, SDR, or embedded device product management.
  • Background working with hyperscaler partner programs or government programs.
  • Advanced business and/or technical degree (Engineering, Computer Science) or MBA.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and common product tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).

We’ll also need you to:

  • Be able to work in the office at least 3 or more days a week to foster collaboration with the team and stakeholders
  • Be able to travel as needed for partner engagements, technical demonstrations, and customer support.
  • This position directly performs under, supports, or is exposed to a U.S. government contract. To comply with the requirements of that U.S. government contract, applicants for this position must be U.S. citizen

Work Environment:

This position primarily works in an office setting and is largely sedentary with the majority of the position working with a computer. The role typically requires the use of basic office equipment such as a phone, video, computer, keyboard, mouse, and printer.

We believe in-person connection drives innovation, strengthens mentorship, and builds culture, while flexibility enables employees to do their best work. Under Iridium’s Hybrid Work Policy, employees are expected to work at least three days per week (approximately 60%) in an Iridium office to support collaboration, relationship-building, and professional growth.
