What We’re Looking For:

If you are an entry-level Enterprise Applications Programmer, Iridium has an exciting role for you on our Enterprise Applications team! As an Enterprise Applications Programmer, you will work closely with business users to understand their needs and translate them into functional and technical requirements. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing, designing, developing, and testing software solutions to meet the needs of the business. The ideal candidate will have experience in implementing, configuring, and maintaining software applications, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise.

What You’ll Do:

  • Assist team to administer, configure, and maintain company software systems
  • Support management and end-users to drive business performance through process automation
  • Investigate, inquire, and inform IT support teams of trends in technology and recommend and work with management to implement solutions that will enhance processes and efficiency
  • Support system upgrade tests and resolve system problems and issues prior to implementation of new or enhanced interfaces, and provide support to impacted areas by working with other IT support teams and user areas
  • Support creating and maintaining integrations between systems and executing on new reporting requests
  • Play a role in change management processes and controls, adhering to SOX compliance requirements

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • 0-1+ years of relevant experience with software applications and systems or related field OR equivalent relevant experience in lieu of degree
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to confidently present products/deliverables/analysis/issues confidently to various groups in the organization
  • Possess an analytical mindset, with the ability to understand a situation or problem and think critically to make decisions or come up with solutions
  • Be comfortable managing upward, including being a proactive communicator and asking for help when needed
  • Have confidence and be able to establish valuable relationships with others
  • Must be able to prioritize key tasks and have a strong sense of ownership over your work
  • Be active in seeking out ways to continuously improve yourself and gain new knowledge
  • Demonstrated proficiencies with Microsoft Office products

Things That Would be Great if You Brought to the Table:

  • Experience administering business applications such as Jira, Confluence, GitLab or other Git Repositories to name a few
  • Experience with Bash scripting or Linux operating systems
  • Ability to perform SQL querying to extract data and understand output of data analysis
  • Experience with MSSQL or Postgres databases
  • Experience with Git, CI/CD, AWS, Terraform, Agile SDLC

We’ll also need you to:

  • Be able to work a hybrid schedule that includes at least 3 days in-office and 2 from home
  • Be a US Citizen

Work Environment:

This position primarily works in an office setting and is largely sedentary with the majority of the position working with a computer. The role typically requires the use of basic office equipment such as a phone, video, computer, keyboard, mouse, and printer.
