What We’re Looking For:

If you are a Business Systems Analyst with at least 2 years of experience you will be excited about the Business Systems Analyst II position on Iridium’s Enterprise Applications team! In this role you will work closely with business users to understand their needs and translate them into functional and technical requirements. This position is responsible for analyzing, designing, implementing, and testing software solutions to meet the needs of the business. The ideal candidate will have experience in implementing, configuring, and maintaining software applications, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues that arise.

What You’ll Do:

  • Work collaboratively to administer, configure, and maintain business applications, ensuring systems meet the organization's needs and align with business objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization through the effective use of technology and business applications
  • Investigate, inquire, and inform IT support teams of trends in technology and recommend and work with management to implement solutions, following best practices, that will enhance processes and efficiency
  • Provide Tier 2 support by addressing escalated issues from Tier 1 support team. Handle more complex problems or system errors that require in-depth knowledge of business systems and configurations
  • Participate as a key technical point of contact in project teams for system upgrades, implementations, and new application rollouts. Provide technical input on system architecture, integrations, and user impact. Ensure smooth deployment and transition of new features or applications
  • Act as a liaison between IT, business stakeholders, and external vendors to ensure seamless communication and project alignment
  • Develop user training materials, conduct training sessions, and maintain documentation for system use and processes
  • Create and manage reports and dashboards for business users to drive informed decision-making
  • Ensure business applications comply with organizational standards, regulatory requirements, and security protocols
  • Play a role in facilitating change management processes and controls, adhering to SOX compliance requirements

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • 2+ years of relevant experience with software applications and systems or related field OR equivalent relevant experience in lieu of degree
  • Experience with business application platforms (e.g., ERP, CRM, etc.) and cloud-based business applications (Finance, HR, Supply Chain, PPM, Contracts)
  • Experience with system integration and data migration
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to confidently present products/deliverables/analysis/issues to various groups in the organization
  • Possess an analytical mindset, with the ability to understand a situation or problem and think critically to make decisions or come up with solutions
  • Be comfortable managing upward, including being a proactive communicator and asking for help when needed
  • Have confidence and be able to establish meaningful relationships with your manager and members of your team
  • Must be able to prioritize your tasks, be self-aware enough to identify and correct mistakes, and not be afraid to ask for help when needed
  • Be active in seeking out ways to continuously improve yourself and gain new knowledge
  • Demonstrated proficiencies with Microsoft Office products

Things That Would be Great if You Brought to the Table:

  • Experience with reporting and dashboard creation tools such as Power BI or similar platforms.
  • Experience with integrating applications through the use of APIs
  • Ability to perform SQL querying to extract data and understand output for data analysis
  • Knowledge of change management processes and best practices, ensuring seamless system upgrades and rollouts.
  • Experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) is a plus

We’ll also need you to:

  • Willingness to work after hours as needed, up to 15% of the time, for critical support and scheduled system changes
  • Work a hybrid schedule that includes 3 days in office and 2 days from home
  • Be a US Citizen

Work environment:

This position primarily works in an office setting and is largely sedentary with the majority of the position working with a computer. The role typically requires the use of basic office equipment such as a phone, video, computer, keyboard, mouse, and printer.
