What We’re Looking For:

Iridium is looking for a strategic and results-driven Senior Sales and Business Development Manager to accelerate global awareness, adoption, and revenue growth for our emerging Non-Terrestrial Networking (NTN) & Cellular products and services. In this high-impact role, you will own the development and execution of market expansion strategies, cultivating a pipeline, strengthening existing partnerships, and identifying new channel and technology partners to scale our reach and close distribution gaps worldwide. You will serve as a key driver of growth in key verticals, uncovering demand, shaping solution alignment, and forging strategic partnerships that enable the successful delivery of Iridium’s NTN and Cellular offerings. Your ability to navigate complex ecosystems and influence stakeholders will be critical to establishing Iridium as a leader in next-generation connectivity solutions. 

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Drive strategic pipeline development and lead complex sales cycles for the new NTN and Cellular service portfolio 
  • Establish, strengthen, and expand high-value partnerships that unlock long-term strategic growth and market access. 
  • Identify, prospect, and strategically assess opportunities with potential customers within key vertical markets that will create long-term value for the company 
  • Actively visit prospective customers to promote our solutions according to the company strategy 
  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with key decision-makers at enterprise and government organizations seeking advanced satellite connectivity solutions. 
  • Develop a deep understanding of prospective clients’ connectivity requirements 
  • Champion Iridium’s value proposition efforts to ensure that our products are socialized with, and understood by, key decision-makers within companies, to stimulate demand for the adoption of our connectivity solutions making us the provider of choice 
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with the IoT Line of Business, Channel Management, and Sales Management to develop new business growth opportunities with prospective customers 
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of a sales funnel 
  • Consult with the company stakeholders to organize and assist in end-user demonstrations, seminars, road shows, and project development 
  • Support management in the important aspects of the regional sales process including prospecting, qualifying, meeting, and working closely with Channel Management and IoT Line of Business 
  • Prepare and conduct assessment meetings with Iridium leadership to help ensure we are able to meet or exceed its monthly/quarterly/annual targets 
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory developments in the NTN, IoT, and
  • global carrier markets, with a focus on their impact on existing partnerships 
  • Provide feedback on competitor implementation, pricing, promotions, etc.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics or related field 
  • Minimum 10 years of direct sales experience  
  • Demonstrable track record in selling technology-based products and services or solutions 
  • Demonstrate successful examples of sales to end users, and the ability to identify, research, prospect and deliver new sales 
  • Must be willing and able to travel throughout the globe regularly to visit prospects and support the sales of Iridium products (up to 30%) 
  • Must be familiar with a fast moving, professional, results oriented atmosphere, and demonstrate a well-organized approach to the services 
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey products, deliverables, analyses, and/or issues clearly and confidently, and confidently recognize and adapt to different communication techniques 
  • Be a strategic thinker who demonstrates good judgment and decisiveness 
  • Experience working with US and International management teams 

Things That Would be Great if You Brought to the Table:

  • Knowledge of mobile satellite services is highly desirable 
  • Fluency in languages other than American English

We’ll also need you to:

  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time 
  • To comply with U.S. Government export control regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), applicants for this position must be U.S. citizens, U.S. lawful permanent residents, or protected individuals as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3). 

 

Work Environment:

This position primarily works in an office setting and is largely sedentary with the majority of the position working with a computer. The role typically requires the use of basic office equipment such as a phone, video, computer, keyboard, mouse, and printer.
