Position Summary, Job Requirements & Responsibilities

What We’re Looking For:

Iridium is seeking a Risk Analyst to join our IT Security team. As a IT Security Risk Analyst, you’ll be responsible for assisting with the identification, measuring, reporting and dealing with cyber risks both internally within Iridium and externally with partners and suppliers. Working in this role, you’ll gain valuable experience/knowledge/skills in multiple departments while making a meaningful impact by establishing and maturing the risk assessment process. You’ll thrive in this role if you want to manage cyber risk in an exciting industry with truly out-of-this world challenges.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Apply the methodology for the identification, measurement and monitoring of information security and cybersecurity risks
  • Enter in risk findings into a risk registrar
  • Follow internal risk assessment procedures and recommend risk treatment and reporting plans
  • Analyze the management and development of information systems from a comprehensive perspective of risk
  • Assist the Information Security team in documenting security procedures
  • Maintain cyber risk registration and report on continuous improvement efforts
  • Execute the risk awareness plan on information security and cybersecurity for employees, contractors, and suppliers
  • Support internal / external audits and regulatory requirements efforts

Experience & Education Requirements / EEO

 

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field OR equivalent relevant experience in lieu of degree
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in the Information Technology industry
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to confidently present
  • An analytical mindset, with the ability to understand a technical design or system and think critically to ascertain risk and impact.
  • The confidence and comfort to manage upward, including being a proactive communicator and asking for help when needed
  • The ability to establish valuable relationships with team members and managers
  • Proactivity in seeking out ways to continuously improve yourself and gain new knowledge

Things That Would be Great if You Brought to the Table:

  • Professional degree
  • Certification such as CISA or CRISC
