Iridium is seeking a talented and experienced Program Controller III to join our dynamic team. As a Program Controller III, you will work alongside our senior program controllers and managers, guiding the program manager and team members to success. You'll be responsible for communicating program status and key dependencies, implementing cost and schedule processes, and ensuring effective program controls. What You’ll Do:

  • Work collaboratively to create and maintain weekly status for project schedules including critical path analysis, look ahead reports, and baseline vs. actual reports.
  • Assist in the creation of MS Project PPM and Power BI reports, keeping the reports up to date.
  • Maintain monthly project status for project budgets including financial baseline vs. actual costs, variance analysis, and purchase order closures.
  • Monitor the progress of a portfolio of project plans, budget and cost tracking, as well as resource demand vs. capacity management.
  • Communicate at all levels of the organization on all matters related to the project (project plan, risk analysis, issues, and scope definition).
  • Assist in process definition and documentation including workflow diagrams and other visuals to represent processes.
  • Provide guidance to project personnel regarding best practices and make recommendations based on project specific requirements.

Experience & Education Requirements / EEO

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a business or technical major and/or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience, preferably within the Aerospace and Telecommunications fields
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to confidently present products, deliverables, analyses, and/or issues
  • Possess an analytical mindset, with the ability to understand a situation or problem and think critically to make decisions or come up with solutions.
  • Be comfortable managing upward, including being a proactive communicator and asking for help when needed.
  • Have confidence and be able to establish valuable relationships with others
  • Must be able to prioritize key tasks and have a strong sense of ownership over your work.
  • Be active in seeking out ways to continuously improve yourself and gain new knowledge.

We’ll also need you to:

  • Be on call
  • Be able to travel up to 10%
  • Be able to show proof of U.S. citizenship

 

Work Environment:

This position primarily works in the company office or in a home office. The position is largely sedentary with the majority of the position sitting in a chair and working with a computer. The role uses basic office equipment including a phone, video, computer, keyboard, mouse, and printer.
