Position Summary, Job Requirements & Responsibilities

What We’re Looking For:

Iridium is seeking a Senior Earned Value Analyst to support the program manager in communicating program plan and status. Working in this role, you’ll be responsible for providing guidance to the program manager and team members regarding all aspects of program budget. You’ll thrive in this role if you consistently deliver high quality work, anticipate program needs, and independently drive projects to completion.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop EVM artifacts such as: Control Account Plans (CAP), Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), Organizational Breakdown Structures (OBS), Basis of Estimates (BOE), Integrated Master Schedules (IMS), and Work Authorization Documents (WAM)
  • Generate seven formats of the Integrated Program Management Report (IPMR) or Contract Performance Report (CPR) data
  • Collect weekly/monthly status, implement Baseline Change Requests (BCR), update and manage Estimate to Complete (ETC) and Estimate At Complete (EAC), conduct analysis, and develop and manage responses to variances
  • Evaluate, track, and communicate Program Budget spending projections and funding requirement changes
  • Ensure adequate funding availability by maintaining accurate records, monitoring requirement, and overall cost management to baseline.
  • Report any significant EVM issues and recommend appropriate actions to resolve the issue
  • Maintain EV database and other EVM files for historic purpose and audit tracking
  • Prepare written surveillance reports to assess EVM data as accurate, reliable, and timely
  • Ensure adequate processes are in place to assess contractor's EVM systems compliance
  • Advise other Program team members on cost, schedule, and performance trends
  • Develop and update financial status for Program briefings
  • Coordinate and participate in Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBRs)
  • Assist in preparation of contract deliverables and manage internal and external schedule performance

Experience & Education Requirements / EEO

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business or technical major or related field
  • 8+ years of relevant experience, with preferably 3+ years of experience within the Aerospace Defense field
  • Expertise using Excel, Deltek COBRA, Deltek MPM, or other EVMS tools
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio
  • Possess an intermediate level of understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM) and industry standards for budget and scheduling
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey products, deliverables, analyses, and/or issues to groups outside of your team or those who are unfamiliar with the topic
  • Have confidence and be able to easily build relationships with leadership and colleagues outside of your team
  • Possess an analytical mindset, with the ability to understand a situation or problem and think critically to make decisions and come up with out-of-the-box solutions
  • Be proactive in providing feedback and be enthusiastic in sharing your knowledge with others
  • Capable of prioritizing your own tasks and potentially the tasks of others while making sure deadlines are met

 

Things That Would be Great if You Brought to the Table:

  • Project Management Institute (PMI) Certification
  • Earned Value Management Institute (EVMI) Certification
  • Government compliance experience
