    Position Summary, Job Requirements & Responsibilities

    Position Summary:

    The Network Operations, Quality and Customer Care team is seeking a Document Control intern for the summer of 2020. As a Document Control Intern, you will have the opportunity to work with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Warehouse, Suppliers to identify commonality along the different types and part #'s of Iridium Packaging and its specifications.


    Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Create a list of the part #'s associated to packaging, labels and its specifications(Scope of Work) including material types and raw material specifications and/or spec sheets for custom and off the shelf products.

    • Identify groups of part #'s, EAU, Suppliers/manufacturers, cost, availability, historical quality/performance, product specifications, and associated Iridium Operating Procedures/Operating Instructions.

    • Present to management in a daily/weekly basis project planning, scheduling, resources needed, project progress, project priorities, due dates.

    Experience & Education Requirements / EEO

    • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
    • Must currently be enrolled in an accredited college or university working on a bachelor degree or a graduate degree in engineering
    • Individual shall be able to read and understand basic-medium complexity engineering drawings and specifications
    • Knowledgeable/familiar with Engineering specifications(Desirable)
    • Positive Attitude - "Can do it attitude"
    • Organization - attention to detail
    • Highly Proficient in Microsoft Office
    • Communication
    • Interest in aerospace and/or telecommunications
