    Position Summary, Job Requirements & Responsibilities

    Position Summary:


    The Sales & Marketing team is seeking a Maritime Market/Pricing Analyst intern for the summer of 2020. As a Maritime Market/Pricing Analyst intern, you will learn how to conduct internet reseach for the maritime market and how to conduct pricing analyses for the pricing team.


    Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Perform data analysis utilizing Microsoft Excel
    • Database management utilizing MySQL, Oracle, and text files
    • Computer programming for:
      • file management and analysis
      • database updates
      • mapping
    • Perform Internet research for the maritime market
    • Perform pricing analyses and assist with pricing research
    • Maintain fleet database and work with fleet tracking software
    • Conduct customer research; create customer and prospecting lists
    • Perform other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time by management

    Experience & Education Requirements / EEO


    • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
    • Must currently be enrolled in an accredited college or university working on a Computer Science degree or related field of study
    • Basic Microsoft Office skills
    • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
    • Basic knowledge of statistics
    • Basic programming skills (Python, Java, MySQL, Oracle, etc.)
    • On-the-job work experience related to the current field of study
    • Data science skills
    • Basic programming skills
    • Statistical analysis skills
    • Basic Microsoft Excel skills
    • Collaboration; experience in a team environment
    • Multi-tasking and prioritization
