    Position Summary, Job Requirements & Responsibilities

    Internship Summary:

     

    The objective is for the candidate to apply his or her current field of study to real life work experience. The intern will build new skills and expand on current skills. They will gain experience working in a professional team environment, broaden their professional network, and have ability to assess if this aligns with their career goals.

     

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Handle support requests overflow for the Financial Systems team
    • Participate in project activities such as requirements gathering, business process reviews,  documentation, research, etc.
    • Gather data for reporting and analysis
    • Perform other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time by management

    Skills Acquired:

    • On-the-job work experience related to the current field of study
    • Experience working with financial and other business applications
    • Understanding of business process flows and decisions
    • Project initiation and execution
    • Collaboration; experience in a team environment
    • Critical thinking; data extraction and analytics
    • Multi-tasking and prioritization

    Experience & Education Requirements / EEO

    • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
    • Must currently be enrolled in an accredited college or university working on a business administration or related degree
    • Some technical working experience; ability to navigate basic productivity software
    • Some exposure to Microsoft Office products
    • Good verbal and written communication skills
    • Basic understanding of accounting functions
    • Desire to learn and willingness to be trained
