    Position Summary, Job Requirements & Responsibilities

    Position Summary:

     

    As an intern in the Iridium Legal Department, you will work with attorneys and non-attorney professionals to learn about the myriad legal, regulatory and compliance issues that arise in a high-tech, publicly traded company with a global footprint.

     

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Perform legal and factual research
    • Organize, analyze, and validate information
    • Research and analyze best practices regarding a variety of company programs and initiatives
    • Help develop and curate materials for governmental (U.S. and foreign) education and advocacy
    • Review and monitor new and updated laws and regulations in relevant fields
    • Prepare written reports and correspondence
    • Assist with reviewing, drafting and revising a wide variety of contracts, including commercial sales and government contracts
    • Assist the legal team with updating, improving and maintaining procedures, processes, forms, and legal policy documents
    • Other duties as may be assigned.

    Experience & Education Requirements / EEO

    • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
    • Must be currently enrolled in a bachelors or graduate degree program at an accredited academic institution
    • Strong communication skills

    • Ability to maintain high degree of confidentiality
    • Critical thinking and analytical skills
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy 
    • Ability to work both in a team and independently
