    Position Summary, Job Requirements & Responsibilities

    The Data Quality Analyst II will be responsible for understanding and analyzing business & data requirements. The Data Quality Analyst II’s primary focus will be on data quality and developing and executing test plans to identify data problems and their causes. This position is fast paced and ever changing, requiring flexibility, self-initiative, and regular management of changing priorities.


    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Conduct data analysis using a variety of SQL tools to query major databases
    • Provide technical assistance in identifying, evaluating and developing data solutions that meet business requirements
    • Perform end-to-end testing, integration testing and regression testing
    • Work throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to drive test planning and test execution activities
    • Develop, execute and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts
    • Maintain and support QA / UAT environments
    • Evaluate and approve data for validity and impact on deliverables
    • Respond to internal data inquiries
    • Demonstrate a sense of urgency and utilize resources efficiently
    • Demonstrate the ability to think outside the box
    • Assist in the development and maintenance of training materials and process documentation

    Job Requirements:

    • Proficiency developing, tuning and executing efficient data validation queries using SQL in multi-terabyte Oracle databases
    • Proficiency in creating, executing, and maintaining test plans, scripts, and scenarios
    • Experience in testing and data validation
    • Strong data analysis skills
    • Strong SQL/Toad skills
    • Strong understanding of ETL process for databases
    • Proficiency with data quality assurance processes and procedures
    • Ability to work in an agile team environment and meet sprint commitments on a consistent basis
    • Ability to set up and maintain a variety of testing environments
    • Ability to think conceptually and analytically, with attention to detail and accuracy
    • Ability to work independently and demonstrate thoroughness and strong ownership of work
    • Ability to support multiple projects simultaneously
    • Strong problem solving and time management skills
    • Embraces teamwork and possesses ability to effectively work cross functionally
    • Customer service oriented with the ability to listen to customer needs and recommend solutions
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong knowledge of MS Office (Access, Word, PowerPoint), including advanced knowledge/expertise in Excel (pivot tables, importing/exporting, formulas, etc.)
    • Must be driven with the ability to take initiative and meet deadlines with minimal supervision

    Experience & Education Requirements / EEO

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Data Analytics, Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • 5+ years’ experience with quality assurance analysis or computer programming experience required
    • 5+ years of experience with System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
    • Experience with testing tools, such as SoapUI, Test rail Test management tool, and/or Jira required
    • Experience with Oracle BRM or any other Billing system is a plus
    • Experience with database design / data modeling is a plus
    • Telecom Domain experience preferred
