    Position Summary, Job Requirements & Responsibilities

    Summary:
    The Security Analyst supports the Director of Compliance & Security to ensure all aspects of security are considered in the safety and well-being on Iridium’s employees, contractors and vendors. The Security Analyst will also manage the day-to-day physical and personnel security of assigned facilities.

     

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Oversee the construction of a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) and maintain the SCIF in accordance with sponsor requirements
    • Coordinate personnel security clearance requirements with the Department of Defense (DoD), Intelligence Community (IC), and various government entities
    • Coordinate required security awareness education for uncleared employees
    • Coordinate required security awareness education for cleared employees to include initial security briefings and annual refresher training
    • Participate in various government security reviews/assessment/audits, conduct and document government required self-inspections/assessments, and assist with any corrective actions required
    • Assist in conducting security in-briefings for all new employees and contractors
    • Assist with the operations and maintenance of the Access Control and Video Management Systems
    • Utilize the Access Control System to generate badges for employees, contractors and visitors
    • Conduct briefings and debriefings for all staff engaging in foreign travel
    • Administer and process incoming/outgoing visit requests
    • Maintain all security documentation and files accurately and in accordance with requirements
    • Maintain interactions with the Defense Security Service (DSS) Industrial Security and Counterintelligence representatives
    • Assist with conducting and documenting investigations into compliance, security violations and compromises of classified information
    • Assist with security needs across the corporation
    • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management

    Experience & Education Requirements / EEO

    • Bachelor’s degree with minimum 5 years of experience as an FSO, Assistant FSO, Contract Special Security Officer (CSSO) and/or Special Security Officer (SSO) or equivalent related work experience.
    • U.S. citizen with current Top Secret/SCI Personnel Security Clearance
    • Must have completed the Facility Security Officer (FSO) courses and certification through Center for Development of Security Excellence (CDSE)
    • Knowledge of the National Industrial Security Program Operating manual (NISPOM), Personnel Security and Adjudicative Guidelines, Director, Central Intelligence Directives (DCID) and Intelligence Community Directives (ICD)
    • Experience with Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS), e-QIP (electronic SF86), Secure Web Fingerprint Transmission (SWFT), National Industrial Security System (NISS) and other security forms and security management databases
    • Experience in managing DoD closed areas, IC SCIFs, etc.; experience with classified Automated Information Systems (AIS) is desirable
    • Knowledge of COMSEC is a plus
