    Position Summary, Job Requirements & Responsibilities

    This contract position will be responsible for directing and managing IT plans, schedules, policies and programs for Iridium’s data processing, network communications, business operations, computer services and management information systems, according to established goals and objectives. Drive the implementation of developing best practices throughout the organization, while governing control and ensuring objectives are achieved. Responsible for project management focused on meeting project commitments, including communication with sponsors and stakeholders This role requires strong experience in IT Operations, Project Management and Business Analysis in order to communicate, motivate, and collaborate with various technical managers, business owners, and executives in different business areas.


    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Quickly understands the business issues and data challenges of the organization and industry. 
    • Identifies organizational/departmental strengths and weaknesses and suggests areas of improvement related to technology. 
    • Reviews and edits requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations related to proposed IT solutions. 
    • Manages the day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of multiple or large-scale projects. 
    • Reviews high-level deliverables across projects. 
    • Ensures project related issues are identified, tracked, reported on and resolved in a timely manner. 
    • Manages scope, minimizes company exposure and risk across multiple projects. 
    • Enforces project deadlines and schedules. 
    • Communicates and applies technology and project standards and policy. 
    • Manages resources in accordance with project schedule. 
    • Consistently delivers high-quality services to the business.

    • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, PowerPoint presentations, Project Management tools.

    • Pushes creative thinking beyond the boundaries of existing industry practices and business unit mindsets. 

    Experience & Education Requirements / EEO

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/MIS or similar experience / technical certifications
    • 5-7 years’ experience managing mid to large IT projects
