    Position Summary, Job Requirements & Responsibilities

    This position is responsible for the support of end user requests and issues, providing entry level troubleshooting and remediation support for the Iridium IT Help Desk working in cooperation with System Administrators, Network Engineering, and Technical Operation Teams to provide secure LAN and WAN connectivity for systems and end users.

     

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Administer, support and maintain desktops, laptops, mobile devices, peripherals and all associated operating systems and applications for all users in a multi-site corporate environment.
    • Perform employee onboarding IT functions for new employees and contractors including setting up user accounts and computer logins, establishing email addresses, phone system logins/pin numbers, and distributing computer, cell phone and other equipment.
    • Perform employee off boarding IT functions which include the collection of equipment and deprovisioning of computer/security access.
    • Work service requests and help desk tickets on a daily basis.
    • Maintain appropriate tools to assist in the execution of duties
    • Maintain appropriate and current documentation
    • Suggest improvements and seek additional training to maintain skills necessary to execute duties
    • Other duties may be assigned by management as needed

     

    Job Requirements:

    • Entry level understanding of Windows Core functionality and support including general applications support
    • Provide troubleshooting support for Windows users
    • Manage and Maintain Windows Desktop operating system
    • Entry level understanding of core Microsoft Office functionality with ability to support at an entry level
    • Basic understanding of Office 365 functionality
    • General computer networking knowledge and core concepts with CompTIA and Network+
    • Experience deploying Windows 10 images
    • Complete the Iridium training requirements within 45 days of employment
    • Ability to multitask and excel in a fast paced environment
    • Ability to work varied shifts and off hours to support upgrades on a limited basis
    • Detail oriented with excellent technical, verbal and written communication skills
    • Good problem solving skills
    • Customer service focus
    • Exhibit basic knowledge and awareness of Iridium policies and procedures

    Experience & Education Requirements / EEO

    • High School Diploma or GED
    • 1+ years of experience in a technical desktop support role
    • 1+ years of experience working in both Windows desktop OS environments; ability to troubleshoot at both an application and desktop OS level
